We get a day off today up here in Canada and it is going to be a wicked day! I thought I would show you a card I made for Christie over at Paper Pretties as she has been such a great new friend and I love all her stamps! So I thought why not combine the card for us Canucks and Yanks for the July holidays! You can't not love these two girls! Seriously, I was smiling the whole time I made this card!
And to celebrate today and the 4th of July, I thought I would give away some blog candy that Christie was so generous to give to me along with a few other things I had in my stash!
Please send me a comment about what you love most when you get a day off and I will pick the winner on July 4th!
Have a great Canada Day! Wear red for me ok!
Ciao!
Stuff:
Stamps: Paper Pretties
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Night of Navy, white, Creative Imaginations DP
Supplies: Nesty's, Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware, riding hood red ribbon, sewing, red brads

OMG that is the cutest card ever!! I love that you combined the 2 holidays, cause I love the USA and Canada. I love the shopping in the USA and the weather as it is usually nicer than ours, and I love Canada because you are here!
Your cards are amazing but that is not surprising cause you are amazing! I am usually at the Ranch with my family on Canada Day cause they have a huge celebration there on July 1st and we have been going since we were kids, that is my most favorite thing to do is hang out w/friends and family on my days off! I am actually missing it a little bit which I didn't think I would, cheers to being with family on days off!

That's really cool, Wendy! Combining both holidays is fabulous. We'll be in New Orleans on our day off this year...gotta photography gig! :) Normally, it's food, fireworks, and fun!

OK, so my husband has this theory about Canadians...he says they have gizzards where regular humans have hearts. Is that true? LOL!!! This opinion is based on the grand total of THREE Canadians he's actually known well in his entire life, and those were wrestlers (who I'm guessing must have actually beat him at some point to earn such low esteem from him). Anyway, it's kind of a funny little inside joke between us when we meet someone from Canada! Just thought I'd share. (if I somehow win this blog candy - you BETTER NOT post that on your blog!!!)
What do I love most about a day off? EXTRA CRAFTY TIME of course!!

Gorgeous card. Love the Canada girl. I'm a homebody on days off and am looking forward to fireworks tonight...no rain, please!

What I love most when I get a day off is not having to go in to work...just being able to do anything other than going in to work. Unfortunately I have to work both Canada and July 4th this year, so there will be not days off until next Monday :-( However, winning some blog candy would definately cheer me up...lol. Thanks for the chance, Pam. I hope everyone else enjoys their Canada Day and Fourth of July...which ever applies...LOL.

Awesome card you fellow Canuck, I'm feelin' the joy!! I just love Canada Day, it's not only a day off it always is a day with great weather and not too many mosquitos and every evening we ALLLWAYS go out with a blanket and watch the fireworks. What an awesome county we live in - anything we can dream or wish is ours to have - just ask the guy who owns The Mandarin Restaurant - OMG!!

Wendy this is FANTASTIC and so adorable. My ex is Canadian and I have a very special place in my heart for my north of the border friends :-) I love the little Canadian girl image - you get today off - we get Saturday off - wooee! Actually I get Friday instead and I love being able to sleep in, wake up - read in bed for a while and then go the gym in the morning instead of at the end of a long day of work :-)
Happy Canada Day to you and ALL my Canadian stampin friends!

Happy Canada Day!!! I love sleeping in on days off, even though with my kiddo's it doesn't always happen, it's nice not to have to wake up to an alarm.
Super cute card Wendy :) I like pizza too ;)

Great card, and Happy Canada Day! I LOVE days off from work (I would make a really good retired person at 36..ha ha), but can't think about what I love the most. It's a tie between no alarm clock and casual clothes I think. The extra craft time is nice too ;).

When I get the day off, I love to take the whole day to create scrapbook pages or cards. That way I am not bound to a time frame. I eat when I want and try new techniques. It is great.

Wendy...no one can paper piece or layer like you! This is stunning. And you know me...a day off means staying home, surfing the web, partying in my craft room and not answering the phone!

Beautiful Card!!
I love that I get to spend time with my husband! He works shifts, so it's not often that we get a day off together. I also love being able to get stuff done around the house that I can't get done on weekends.

Your card is fantastic girl. Now when I have a day off I love a to have a coffee, do a little stamping and do a little reading, taking the phone off the hook. But alas I don't get much time to myself.weep. Thanks for giving us a chanch to win blog candy.

I love this card! It's adorable. Being Canadian and living in the states now, I miss Canada Day so much. The 4th of July just isn't the same to me. I do love the fireworks, but the general feeling on Canada Day is much more fun. Canadians just seem prouder of their country, I think.

On my day off, I love to eat McDonald's and watch Ellen, she is just so darn funny and down to earth. And needless to say I love to go online and look at blogs for inspiration, which led me here today. Thanks for the chance to win.
