Children's Challenge #9

Joely had a her friend Kyra over this past weekend and whenever she comes over, she loves making cards with her.  They made 4 or 5 each and had a blast.   They wanted to do a challenge so I found them a couple to do.  This is Joely's card for the Children's Challenge Corner and this week it was to use ribbon or bows on the card.  

She ended up using some embroidery thread on Jolinne's dress as a sash.  She was going to tie it in a bow but got all excited on how cute it turned out, glued it on and forgot to leave enough to tie!!! She is so my daughter!!  

One more day till the weekend and my lounger is calling to me already!!   Have a great day!   

Children's Challenge Corner #3

Today I am posting a card from Joely who participated in the Children's Challenge again!  She is really getting into it but is still unsure about her own blog.  I told her once she is ready, I will get her going!

The theme was to make a Mother's Day card but it had to have a heart on it somewhere.  Brad, punch, stamp, paper, etc.  She found these pre-made hearts with the buttons at Michaels and knew that is what she wanted to use for her card.  She came home and made it!  I wish it came to me that fast when creating.

CCC2 - Cute as a Button (Joely's)

So here is Joely's card for the Children's Challenge Corner.  She loves buttons just like me. Everytime I make a card she is saying 'Mom, the button should go here!" and usually she is dead on!  She even said something about her own blog tonight???   Could I be any prouder at this moment!   Way to go Peanut Butter, I love what you did!    Ciao!

CCC2 - Cute as a Button (Jaden style)!

Joely had her friend Jaden over after school today.  Even though they are in different grades, they have been friends since they were just little naked one year olds (oh I so want to put a picture of them here but they would k ill me) and I love having her over!  So today Joely asked her if she wanted to play along in the Children's Challenge Corner which was to use lots of buttons, and she was all over that!  They both rocked their cards and I am posting them seperate so I can upload them onto the challenge blog.  First I will do Jaden's, because she is the guest, then Joely's will be in the next post!  I am really proud of them both and I did NOTHING this time except take the picture!  Please give them both some love!  Thanks!

Children's Challenge Corner - CCC1

So my dear friend Julie Masse had informed me that she and her kids had started up a Kids challenge blog and invited us to play along.  Now for those of you who don't know my daughter Joely, loves to do anything I do and sometimes even better! So when I mentioned this to her, she was worried at first it wouldn't be good enough but I said not to as my first blog card was nothing to write home about and if she continues and loves it, we can start her own blog!  Talk about a proud moment!  She already loves shoe shopping with me and going to Starbucks and she LOVES Micheals! 

The first challenge was to use Pink if you were a girl and Blue for boys.  Joely went right to my stamps, found the one she wanted to use and got the paper out and away she went.  The only thing I helped her with is cutting the paper, honest!   Everything else is all Joely, even taking the picture. I tried to tell her what to do but she put me in my place and said "NO Mom, I want it to go this way!"  Good for you Jo!  I hope she continues playing along and one day she can be your blog friend!  Love you Peanut Butter!
