Prettie Wednesday & JUGS Challenge

Morning!  Happy Hump Day! 

Prettie Mama Christie picked today's challenge and it was to use your blog banner as inspiration!  And in Wendy fashion, I went ahead and did something completely different because I do that!  After I coloured Cooper, I knew what paper I wanted to use and then remembered about another challenge I could incorporate into this one so away I went.  Not a care in the world and just happy I got my card done on time!!!   Then I went to post it this morning and went back to check on what I needed to say and saw what the challenge actually was!!!  I think I sometimes live in my own little blog world!!!  So sorry Christie....but at least I used the correct stamps this time!!!!  LOL   Enough of me going on about what a boob I am!   

The other challenge I was doing was the one over with the JUGS gals!  It was a colour challenge using, you guessed it, RED, WHITE and BLUE.  I used my great star paper that I have had forever and added a little more fun with the stars embossing folder.  Thanks ladies, that was fun!

Today's featured sets are Look Out World and Beach Bum which are 40% off this week at the Paper Pretties store.   I used Look Out World for mine.  I thought my hair wasn't coloured bad until I uploaded it and yes, I need to work on that!! JUGS Sketch Challenge

I haven't played along with the JUGS for some time so today I knew that was one thing I wanted to do!  They have some tough challenges so as soon as I saw this sketch, I was all over it!  

I have a girlfriend who has been under the weather for a few weeks now and I know a card will cheer her up.  And what better than this PI girl from My Favorite Things.  So freakin' cute!    

Ok, off to watch the Oscars!

More JUGS...teehee!

I was able to find some time this weekend to do the weekly challenge over at Just Us Girls blog.  They have had some great challenges the last couple of weeks which I did miss and was really bummed about it.  But this one I was able to sneak into my weekend! 

I used one of the newest sets from There She Goes  stamps but struggled with the main image as there was so many things to choose from.  At first I coloured the snowballs with a light blue Copic then thought of adding the Candy Dots instead.   And of course buttons, what are my cards without a button these days.

More JUGS!

Happy Saturday to you all!

I was able to do the JUGS challenge this morning before anybody was up in our house. I love this time of day, coffee, sun and quiet!  I am such a morning person.  I had some images stamped from my weekend with the Loonie girls and Reg and Dee brought this adorable van from Bella and I love it so much, I might just have to get my own.  So that is why I didn't use the cream colour as the image was already on white.   That and I am not a cream girl!  I know I know, challenge myself!  Next time, I promise!  LOL

 
Joely and I are off to the movie 'Whip It' today so I will let you know how it is. Have a great day everyone!

Just Us Girls Rocks!

My Cruise gal Pam is involved in a new venture with some of her blogging friends called Just Us Girls, JUGS for short (add giggling here)!  They are doing weekly challenges and this weeks is paper piercing. I knew I had to do this one because I LOVE paper piercing! There was an option to add pink as well and I was all over that.

We don't have alot of craft stores here (we have Michael's of course) but only a couple local shops. So when they get stock in it usually goes really quick.  So when I saw this set from MFT I knew I had to grab it as it wouldn't be there tomorrow.  I paper pieced the dress, coffee cup and background, perfect stamp set to do this technique with!

Ok, it is snowing here and I think it might be a day just to stay in and stamp!  Well that and laundry, cleaning and dying hair!  Ciao!
