Colour Challenge...what's that?

And I kind of feel that way as it has been FOREVER since I did a colour challenge over at Splitcoast. But I found the time and went for it.  At first I was wondering how was I ever going to make these colours work but thru the magic of wine and song, presto...this came to me!  Love this set by Taylored Expressions! 

So today I have the day off work to spend it with Joely. First we are off to a Stampede lunch, then to the grounds for rides and food, then to Taylor Swift concert tonight!  We are both looking forward to it!  I hope my stomache is ready!

Morning All!

I was able to pull this together last night while watching LOST, American Idol, Criminal Minds and Life (love the PVR)!  For those of you who are Twilight fans (who isn't) it was weird to see Jasper as the creepy Un-sub on Criminal Minds last night!!  It took me a second or two to realize it was him as he looked so different, but still really pale!  Poor Scott getting booted on AI!  I knew it was inevitable but he always looked so happy to be there!  And don't get me started with LOST!!!  Love that show!

Ok on to the card.  This was for SCS colour and sketch this week.   I just couldn't get the inner square panels to work so I went with ovals!  Hey, I just realized I cut my poor bunnies wiskars off!  Damn....I hate when that happens!   Make the card, post it and then realize you made a booboo!  He is still darn cute though!

SCS Colour & Sketch Challenge!

Good Evening Everyone!

I have missed you all!  I hate not being able to hang out in my craft room and create!  It really upsets me and my real job!!  They tell me at work to go home after a bad or crazy day and make a card as they know it will make me feel better...that was today!  We have had consistantly bad weather here in Calgary and the snow just keeps coming!  So for me that means accident after accident after accident (I work for State Farm doing claims).  So I need some release and that means cards....and wine!  (they really should go hand in hand....LOL).

This was for this weeks SCS colour and sketch.  Colour was fun, sketch was tough and usually it is the other way around for me.  But I had to throw some green in as I didn't have any DP with just navy or baja breeze!  Can you believe it!!!   Just means more shopping for me...that goes with the wine too!  LOL

A Challenge and a Case!

Good Afternoon!

Today was a clean house, laundry, dye hair (of course that isn't my natural colour) and do Christmas cards....did the first three!  Then realized I needed to whip up a house warming card for a party I was going to tonight so did that instead!  Xmas will have to wait till tomorrow! 

The first was the colour challenge on Tuesday over at SCS which I loved! I actually am going to use this combination for some of my Xmas cards.  Actually this card is one of the ones I will send out this year, watch for it in your mailbox!  

This was one of the stamps we got on the cruise from Emily at Stamping Bella, isn't he cute!  And so easy to paper piece him, his scarf and the present!  Gotta love that!  I am going to try and use all my rub-ons from SU for sentiments on my cards this year as they are so easy to use. The challenge asked for real red but I ran out of it so I used riding hood red instead but it is actually Washington Apple DP from SU, one of my fav's.

Second card is a case from my BFF Char.  I absolutely love this card!  When I saw it, I knew I had to find those chipboard houses and make it.  She entered this one into a contest to publish for a magazine, can't remember which one, and can you believe they didn't pick it!  I know, me neither!   So I basically cased the whole layout.  My cousins housewarming is tonight and I hope she loves it.  That and the nice Merlot I bought her!

Point me to the Grey Celery?

What a heading hey!  I have only been blogging just over 2 months and I am running out of creative headings already!!!  LOL

This is for the colour challenge over at SCS today - certainly celery, pacific point and basic grey!!  And I also did Jen's sketch over at i{heart}2stamp.

At first I figured no one would do this challenge so I will get alot of hits (hopeful) but if you go over and snoop at the gallery, you will see alot of amazing cards!! 

I have so many new sets to use, it is hard for me to pick one to do the challenges!  So I will try to use them all in the next while.  Gina K is next....maybe tomorrow for Wednesday's sketch at SCS.

SCS Tuesday Challenge #191

This is for the Tuesday Colour Challenge over at SCS.  I love these three colours and they go so well together and with the new Bella Rose DP from SU too.  

My good friend Sonja has this amazing daughter Olivia and she loves to dance.  She got into the ballet class she really wanted and was so excited!  I wanted to send her something to let her know how proud I was of her other than a big hug!

I can't stop paper piecing too!  I need to stamp more!  Maybe tomorrow!

Double the Challenge, double the fun!

I was able to sneak a challenge in tonight, between laundry, homework, supper, and Criminal Minds!

This is for SCS Colour and Sketch.  Can you believe how good these colours work together but I did have to add the black to make them pop!  I wanted to use some new stamps I hadn't tried yet and I love all the new Verve ones I just got. Clear stamps rock and are so easy to use. I really haven't purchased many SU stamps from the new catty yet as I have been venturing out to other companies.  Sorry SU!!  I promise a big order soon!   

Do you think I should add leaves to the stem of the larger flower????  I am unsure too?

3 Challenges in One!

That is what happens when you don't have enough time to stamp, you merge 3 projects into one, and then hope it turns out!   Did it??   I think so as I am happy with my finished project!

This was for the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Challenge over at SCS.  Colour, sketch and ways to use it!  A good friend of ours daughter, Jaden, turned 12 today and was staying over.  So I figured what better time than to make a card.  

It is Thanksgiving Weekend here in Canada and I am having my whole family over on Monday for turkey!  I can't wait.  I love it when we all get together. We tend to eat too much, have a few glasses of wine and then it then it gets a bit loud and crazy...So much fun!  Don't you love family!  But that isn't until Monday so I hope to get in a few card projects in the next few days!  Nothing better than a long weekend for stamping.

Timmy is at it again!

We have a cat Timmy and he DRIVES ME CRAZY!   He is always getting into trouble, so this card is dedicated to him as this is what he will look like come Christmas time, guaranteed! 

This card is for the colour challenge CC184 over at Splitcoast.  I knew what stamp I was going to use as soon as I saw the choices.  To be honest, it was inspired from Laurie Schmidlin's card. Her cards are so amazing and everytime I look at her blog, I hope one day my cards will be as perfect as hers.

I couldn't decide what ribbon to use, so I used all of them!  But what a disaster trying to tie them so I just went with the messy look!   I hope you can see the brad which says Holiday Wishes.  Just an little added touch!
