Loonie for Glitter!

Hey Peeps!  Sorry, my card is a little late today.  I took the pictures of it but forgot to edit them so I had to wait till I got home for work....damn job interfering with my crafting!

For our Loonie Challenge today, Regan had us using glitter!!  Ok, first, I hate glitter, gets everywhere, drives me crazy!  So for me, Stickles are the way to go!  I added some on her crown, shoes and the candles.  I also used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday sketch from this past week, loved it! 

Make sure you go and see what the Loonie chicks did with their glitter, I hope they didn't get it in unwanted places!  teehee

Sweet Sunday ... on Friday!

I finally was able to sneek in Karen's sketch this week as I have wanted to play along with them for like forever as some of my favorite peeps on are Karen's team and wanted to show them some love!!!   I love this bear from TCP.  So I hope they enjoy  it.....Dana, Jen, Karen, Nancy!!!   Love ya!!!

Enjoyed my Sweet Sunday!

Monday already??!!   While, let's look on the bright side, only 4 sleeps till the weekend!   I didn't do much yesterday other than put around in my craft area trying to organize it better, so I thought why not make something while I was at it.  I received some new stuff from There She Goes Stamps on Friday and had to ink up this cute new set called Wonderful Winter Wishes, aren't they freakin' adorable!  I also used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch for the layout.  I enjoy making a card so much more when I have a sketch to work with! 

 If anyone has any tips on how to sew  on a circle properly, I would truly appreciate it.  I was laughing so hard when I was doing it, thinking to myself "am I actually going to put this on my card then post it?" as it is soooo bad!  I even hid the worst part underneath the image.  But then it worked out as I could put the sentiment on the white space so I guess it wasn't all bad!

Sweet Sunday

I am so behind on my posting, I apologize.  With my daughter's 13th birthday on Monday and the excitement of my new shoes, I have been a bit frazzled!!   LOL

I did do Karen's great sketch yesterday as Father's Day is coming up so I needed to get started on my cards.  I love how this turned out!   That bug from Papertrey is so easy to colour.  I think I will add something onto the license plate, I just noticed now I left it blank.  OOPS!

Sweet Sunday Sketch

I had a bit of time this morning before we start our yard work (no rain or snow expected today) so I decided to do Karen Giron's sketch challenge. 

I have a couple special birthdays this month (one being Joely) but this one I made for a dear friend who loves getting pampered on her day!  So I knew this Pure Innocence stamp by MFT would be perfect along with a gift card inside!

Prettie Wednesday Challenge with a Sketch

It's Prettie Wednesday and todays challenge is to use Earth Elements colors in your project, SU or similiar.   The featured sets are Look Who's Perky and Happily Ever After, which is what I used.  Both sets are on sale this week for 35% off.  I also did the Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen Giron with this challenge.

Now the challenge this week was from me and I thought using the Earth Elements would be easy peasy as I use Chocolate Chip on almost all my cards.  But once I got working with it, it was alot tougher than I thought.  I ended up using Papertrey dp on my card as I needed it to have a 'happily ever after' feeling!  The sentiments for this set have gone missing (the cat ate them??) so I used this vellum one I have had like Forever!   The hop started at Christie's if you missed it.   Next up is the so talented Jane. 

p.s.  For those Twilight fans out there, I heard that the cast is on Oprah tomorrow!  Set those PVR's!

Sweet Sunday on Thursday!

I have wanted for some time now to do the Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen Giron cause as you know I love a great sketch and also some of my favorite peeps are on her sketch team!   I love the simplicity of this one as I am so use to the Mojo sketches which are so detailed so this one was actually a nice change!

I brought out my fave girls in the world, the Pure Innoncence from My Favorite Things.  But there are so many amazing ones now, I had a hard time chosing ! I have to get this one in the mail actually as it is for a friends birthday which is on Tuesday....oops, not going to make it!  Sorry Heather!   Happy Birthday!  LOL

Ok, I better get going!  Work calls but then we are off to Fairmont BC for a nice long relaxing weekend with my DH and kid!  She is bringing a friend too which is great for her, not having to hang with us the whole time!  We are starting to get boring you know!!  LOL   Have a great day!  Ciao!
