TSG33 - Layers!

If you get a card from me, you know how heavy it can be and it is all because of the layers!  My BFF's bug me all the time by asking if I pay extra postage because of the weight and my answer is 'none of your business'!  LOL!!  And being that I am Trendsetter of the Week at the TSG blog I got to pick the challenge so of course ... Layer up Girls!!!  Now there has to be a minimum of 3 layers on your project, and I will be counting don't you worry!  So go to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project with Mr Linky and use the keyword TSG33 if it is on another online gallery.  This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 21st). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

I used my favourite set Birdie Wishes from TSG Stamps! Gotta love it!  Now count my layers....1, 2, 3....10!!!  Boy, that one is gonna cost me at the post office!

TSG32 - Tags!

This week the challenge was brought to you by Sandra and she wanted us to make tags! Go and see hers, they rock!  Now, I am not that crafty, believe it not, that kind of stuff is hard for me!  Give me a card with a sketch and a colour challenge anytime over a good ole craft!  But I pulled myself together, grabbed a glass of wine and went for it.

I used the new Holiday Tag set from TSG.  I used my Nesty's for each layer with a bit of Kraft and Gold PTI paper, then added a little gold Stickles on each, added gold elastic cord and viola, tags!! They will go on bottles of Vino I am giving away to my lush friends...you know who you are! 

Make sure you play along with us and upload your tag creations with Mr Linky at the TSG blog and use the keyword TSG32 if you don't have a blog and are uploading to a gallery.  I would love to get some more ideas as homemade tags are such a nice touch on a gift, don't you agree!    Have a great day and have some vino on me!

Sneaking in a late Peak for TSG!

I wasn't able to participate in all the There She Goes Sneak Peaks this past week as I hadn't gotten my stamps yet but I wanted to show you what I did with the new set Birdie Wishes as it is so darn cute!  I actually made close to 20 of these this weekend so they may be in some of your mailboxes very soon!!!   The whole set is darling!  I have wanted a cute bird set for some time now and I have to say, this is the one for me!  Thanks Jessica! The sentiment is also from one of the other new sets Holiday Tags and I love the font and the size of it worked perfect for the oval.

TSG30 - Feeling Sketchy!

You know I love sketches so when Jessica gave us our challenge this week at TSG blog, I was all over it!  I have been trying to use up my scraps of dp as I have two large 12X12 bins of it.  I hoard my paper and I know that those small 1X1 pieces might come in handy some day :) ... so I went through them and found some good pieces for this sketch...3 down, 1 million still to use.

TSG29 In Stitches!

And that was what I was in when I tried to go in a circle with my machine...OMG!  I was peeing myself as I am such an amatuer when it comes to the sewing machine!  You may think I am a pro but NADA...only straight lines!!!  The oval on this card was the second attempt...I should of taken a photo of what is underneath the green dp where the sentiment is...sewing at its best! The oval stitching turned into more a wave of sorts!  LOL  

So I hope I made Jackie proud as she is our Trendsetter of the Week and her challenge to do stitching on your card, whether by machine or hand!   And of course I used some of the new sets by There She Goes Stamps which I love!  So make sure you play along and link up your projects to Mr Linky at the TSG blog and show us what you can do with your stitching!  As usual, a prize is up for grabs to use at the store! Wednesday Trend - Dry Embossing

This week at the TSG blog Gretchen was the 'hostess with the mostess' and her challenge was to do dry embossing.  There are so many great embossing folders out there and it is such a quick way to add a little something to your project.  Sometimes when I am totally stuck and I need to add something to a card, this is the easiest way to make your card POP!  Just a little somein' somein'!!!     

I used a couple different patterns on this one, the snowflakes and the dots, both from Cuttlebug. Look at my sewing, it is almost straight!!!  LOL

Fun with Chipboard??

That is normally something I would not say about chipboard BUT today over at There She Goes blog the challenge is to use it on your card so I made an effort. Chipboard and I, well we ain't friends!  Actually, it is more a love/hate thing.  I love seeing it on others cards and thing 'OMG, look at that', but when I go and use it, it is more like 'OMG, look at this piece of junk' so into the garbage it goes!  But after all is said and done, Chip and I became friends!  

I used the Welcome Home set from TSG as the only chipboard I had was this house (can you see it? I should of used darker dp). My BFF Char had made a card using it and I loved it so I went out and got myself a bunch of these as I wanted to copy her card here.  Well this is the second card I have done with it and it has been over a year! 

Make sure you go and visit the TSG blog and play along and use the keyword TSG28. I would love to see what you did with chipboard (it may give me some ideas too for next time).  There are also prizes to be won so don't waste anymore time!  Go and create...teehee!

TSG 'Mini' Sneak

The mini Snowflake set is adorable and comes with 8 different shapes of snowflakes and a couple great sentiments. I hope you can see on my card how great they are.

There She Goes, Hopping for Bins!

Welcome to the TSG Card Bin blog hop.  I am your last stop on this wonderous journey and I am sure you saw some amazing work on the way here.  You must of came here from Maki's blog and I am sure you were in awe with what she did!  I hope I can keep you happy ...if not, I have wine??? 

Today we are showing the super cute card bin's. They are perfect for all those cards hanging around waiting to be mailed and this way you can alter them and are great for gifts. They will hold about 40 cards, even more if the cards have no layers, so for me they only hold about 10 cards (only a select few will get that joke!)
